207WF
I was at my avionics shop and the ELT batteries are coming due on my Ameri-King 406 ELT. The shop produced this FAA unapproved parts notification that covers the batteries, saying they can't buy them, and the FAA recommends they be removed. (They did verify the ELT is working.) Now, my understanding is that the FAA notification does not apply to LSA, and that it is up to FD to approve or disapprove the parts. So, my questions are: 1. Can we still use this ELT? 2. Can we get batteries for it? WF

207WF
Ordered them on line from batteries direct for $26 a pop, much less than the $130 plus at CPS. WF
