gbigs
The 2012 CTLSi just sold. It had twin non-touch Dynons, the Garmin 796, ADS-B, and sport upgrade (no damage). Price close to full asking less fuel trailer. Fuel trailer will be put on eBay now...I enclose a picture of it in case anyone here interested. Price $4k (includes shipping inside USA). Scott Lee
Good for you. I thought your plane was a good value as priced. It just takes longer the higher the price.
gbigs
Congratulations! Should we be looking for the new owner to be joining us here? The buyer is a California based surgeon and may be too busy to spend much time online. He was found by our broker...and is a private pilot. His last plane was a Cessna 172 and has no experience with SLSA until now (it was a choice between the CTLSi and a Diamond DA40). He will be given everything we have including where the plane was serviced (Lone Mountain and Kevin Kane) and where he can get more information like here on ctflier site. FlyingMonkey
DA-40 vs. CTLSi? Two very different airplanes there! Congrats on the sale.
Scott Lee
I flew a DA-40 and it flys like a dream. But it is easily twice as expensive as a CT.

Adam
That is a really nice fuel trailer. Did you build this or is it commercially available? I'd have to wonder if the Socialist Republic of California would allow me to license it here...
Ed Cesnalis
Mine was easy to license in CA and it isn't DOT approved like this one. For licensing purposes I think all DMV care's about is the trailer not what is mounted on it. As far as enforcement, CHP or local law enforcement are pretty clueless. If you are transporting 1,000 lbs of fuel you need a placard, but you're capacity will only be 330lbs so end of discussion. You even have DOT compliance but that doesn't seem to be an issue. There are countless vehicles in CA transporting fuel in tanks that are not DOT compliant. Take a photo and walk into the CHP office and sit down with someone and talk it over. The trailer has all the correct electrical, lighting, hitch and suspension. And the tank is DOT certified for gasoline as are the pump, hoses, grounding, and battery. gbigs
New owner is picking up the CT today, getting his 10 hours of free lessons. He has also agreed to buy the fuel trailer - smart move on his part. He wants to continue to burn Mogas (really he has to unless he changes the full syn oil) and is going to continue to use Lone Mountain to maintain the little tiger. We are really happy with this new owner....he is a retired MD who plans to fly the plane himself and has a daughter that will train in the plane.
