CTMI
Here's a question: At My airport they plow the runways immediately, and the runway rarely has any snow on it, the hangar area, on the other hand, seems to last in line. Even right now I need to taxi my plane to another area but I don't dare taxi through the 4 or so inches of powder that has accumulated outside my hangar. So, how much snow can a ct taxi through? Bare pavement only? I have the tundra gear for what it's worth.
sandpiper
4" of powder should be no problem. But, you should get rid of the wheel pants. They have a tendency to pack with snow. Once in a while probably won't hurt. And it will all thaw out once you put it back in your warm hangar.
Tom Baker
If it is a CTSW and you remove the wheel pants, make sure to put the screw back in that goes through the gear leg fairing. Otherwise it can slide on the gear leg.
