Bulldog
Hi Everyone - I had to replace my fuel pressure sender, which now works great, but I'm getting some leaking around the threads. Has anyone had to use Permatex or other sealant for the fuel pressure sender threads? I'm thinking about carefully using some Permatex 59235. Tom Baker
I normally use some white Teflon paste on fittings like that. If it is located on the firewall, it doesn't need to be high temp.
DHeal
Loctite 567 has worked very well for me over the years. It seems impervious to oil and fuel (100LL and mogas w/ ethanol).

Anticept
The general recommendation by various manufacturers is thread dope for liquids, thread tape for anything vacuum. The vacuum stuff is because the tape can get caught by the screens but pipe dope can keep breaking apart into smaller sticky chunks. As for why dope instead of tape is recommended for liquid carrying pipes, I have no idea. It's usually easier to apply and tape needs a little more finesse, maybe that's why. Don't cover the two threads closest to the working end.
