Rahul Deshmukh
Hi everyone, N776CT (CTLS 2011) here. As part of pre-flight I've always extended flaps to 35 degrees and then retracted them before taxiing. The last couple of times flaps will not retract from 35 degrees. I can work the flaps manually and have had no issues switching flaps from -6, 0 to 15 once I am in flight. I also see that the dots to the right of the flap position indicator, the two marked by blue circle are lit when the flaps are at 35 and the flap retraction is not working. The dots will turn off in other flaps settings . Any thoughts? Thanks in Advance, Rahul.
Anticept
Do they sound like they are struggling to move?
Rahul Deshmukh
The flaps don't seem to be struggling to move. When I use the manual override the flaps move just fine from 35 to 30 or lower. And no issues using flaps controls to move the flaps between -6, 0, 15. Just seems like there is an issue using the flap control to move them from 35 to 30.
Anticept
30 and 35 are really close together. Your potentiometer might be worn or corroded, which can skew the voltage divider readings. Reprogram them. If the issue persists, replace the pot. Roger Lee
You may just need to reprogram the potentiometer / flap board
